Fossils, traditionally perceived as rigid and immovable witnesses of bygone eras, are given a fluid form. They transform into digital-morphological entities that blur the boundaries between natural and artificial.<br><br>Herold &amp; Huth utilize 3D-scanned landscape fragments, which inscribe themselves onto surfaces as imprints of the contemporary natural world. These fossils of a \u201cSecond Nature\u201d are composed of layers\u2014textures, elevation profiles, light-shadow modeling\u2014showcasing the landscape as a hybrid.
