“Die Geburt” is a site-specific installation in a farmyard barn, comprising a chicken egg on a log of wood, and a projection of a calm water surface. By brooding the egg, keeping it warm in the hands or sitting on it like a hen for a while, the water begins to boil and the brooder becomes witness to twin birth.
