2006 | Fountain of Eternal Youth | with Lena Lieselotte Schuster | part of Garden Eden

The exhibition was located in a former industrial granary. Embedded in the darkness of the 4th floor, visitors discover the Garden of Eden - a scene and playground of youth. In the center of the garden there is a basin which provides the projection surface for the Fountain of Eternal Youth. As if out of thin air, faces appear on the white background. They symbolize a generation that tries to escape the inevitability of aging. The men and women appear to be gasping for air and dive out of view in changing rhythms. Their faces, their expressions, reveal the exhausting effort associating with maintaining a ‘fresh’, young visage.
